Email Integrations

Sync registered viewers who opt in to marketing into Kit, Mailchimp, Beehiiv, or Flodesk, and auto-draft your next-session announcement.

How email integrations work

Your past attendees are the people most likely to come back. Email integrations connect Q&A W/Me to the email tool you already use, so you can reach them without exporting spreadsheets.

Once connected:

  • Everyone who registers syncs to your list automatically. New registered viewers are added to your email tool and tagged so you can tell your Q&A W/Me audience apart from the rest of your list.
  • Your next-session announcement is drafted for you. When you schedule a new session, we pre-write the announcement email to your past attendees. You review and send it - we never send on your behalf.

Who gets synced: only registered viewers who opted in to marketing emails when they signed up. People who didn't opt in are never synced or exported.

Connecting your email tool

  1. Open the Creator dashboard and go to Email.
  2. Pick the tool you use from the list.
  3. Follow the connect flow for that provider (sign in, or paste an API key - see each section below).
  4. For some providers, choose which list/audience/segment your attendees should land in.

One tool at a time. You can connect a single email tool. To switch, disconnect the current one first. Your audience is stored on Q&A W/Me regardless, so switching tools is not lossy - your existing audience is synced into the new tool when you connect it.

Kit

Kit is the fullest integration - it covers the whole loop.

  1. On the Email page, choose Kit.
  2. Click Connect Kit and sign in with your Kit account.

What it does:

  • Adds every registered viewer to your Kit account and applies the qa-attendee tag.
  • When you schedule a new session, drafts the announcement broadcast in Kit, targeted to your qa-attendee tag. You get an email with a link to review and send it.

Mailchimp

  1. On the Email page, choose Mailchimp.
  2. Click Connect Mailchimp and sign in.
  3. Choose which audience your registered viewers should sync into.

Registrants are added to that audience and tagged qa-attendee.

Beehiiv

Beehiiv connects with an API key.

  1. In your Beehiiv dashboard, go to Settings → Integrations → API and create a key.
  2. On the Email page, choose Beehiiv and paste the key.
  3. Choose which publication to sync into.

Registrants are added as subscribers to that publication. Beehiiv has no tags, so attendees are marked with a qa_attendee custom field instead.

Flodesk

Flodesk connects with an API key.

  1. In Flodesk, go to My Account → Integrations → API keys and create a key.
  2. On the Email page, choose Flodesk and paste the key.
  3. Choose which segment to sync into.

Registrants are added to that segment - the segment itself is your "Q&A W/Me attendee" marker.

FAQ

Can I connect more than one email tool?

No - one at a time. A creator has a single email list, and syncing the same people into two tools would split your audience. To move to a different tool, disconnect the current one and connect the new one.

Does Q&A W/Me send emails for me?

No. Announcements are drafted in your email tool - you review the copy and send it yourself. We never send from your list.

What happens when I connect a tool?

Your existing audience (everyone who has registered before and opted in) is synced into the newly connected tool right away, so you don't start from an empty list.

Someone unsubscribed from my list. Will they sync again?

No. Once a contact unsubscribes, they're skipped on all future syncs.

My tool isn't listed.

Kit, Mailchimp, Beehiiv, and Flodesk have direct integrations. For other tools, the Email page also has copy-and-paste starter emails you can use to set up a simple loop manually.
